Greetings and welcome. We'd like to adopt as loose a policy as possible here in the forums, but we also ask that you help keep things under control by being considerate of others. Here are a few simple rules and guidelines to keep everyones experience as pleasant as possible... We'd like to to remain adults and not put limits on "cuss words" and mature adult conversation, give folks room to blow off steam and even carry on heated debates. However, we ask that you stop and take a breath and think about whether you're offending others or crossing a line of mutual respect before you post.
  • Don't call people names or resort to insults.
  • Don't post logs of conversations unless all parties agree here in the forums.
  • Don't cross post the same thing in multiple forums.
  • No advertising in any forums except for the ones set aside specifically for advertising such as the products or services forums.
  • Don't use alts to make it look like people other than yourself are posting
  • Don't be condecending to others who may not be as eloquent or as good at english or their native language as you. This is the behavior of bullies, masquerading as intellect. We understand wit, sarcasm, pessimism and emotions running hot, but we don't want to belittle others in the process.
Breaking the rules may result in warnings, loss of forum priviledges, temporary suspension to the website, or a permanent ban depending on the situation. For discussions that get very emotional and potentially offensive, we're going to try something different, before we delete posts and take further action. Threads of this nature will be moved to a forum called Outside, as in "take the fight outside, not in here". In this way, people that may not want to see what they consider drama won't have to be disrupted by it, while still allowing those involved to continue discussing the issue at hand. Those who find these types of threads too unpleasant to deal with can simply stay away from the Outside forum and not be bothered by them.
